Breathing. We all know how to do it, so why read about it?
Well, often we learn bad habits, about so many ways to use (or abuse) our body. This also applies to breathing. Have you ever found yourself holding your breath when you shouldn’t? Noticed how a scary movie can change your breath rate? Been ill and found yourself coughing more? Suffer from asthma?Fractured a rib and unable to breathe properly because it hurt?
Every time this happens it can lead to dysfunctional breathing patterns. This can have a negative effect on our body, which can manifest in the way we move, our continence strength, our mood, cognition and anxiety levels.
So, try some breathing techniques and as the breath rolls in and out allow yourself to enjoy the ripple effects of good breathing!
